Crochet Ideas

So, I’ve been searching for various Halloween inspired crochet patterns, because it’s that time of the year. And I found these!

They are so cute that I can’t stand it! Just crochet around some wire coat hangers and see where it goes!!

Bipolar Slump

I know I haven’t been on here in a while and I apologize to all of ya’ll that actually follow my crazy crap. I’ve had a rough little while, had a bad hit while I was already in a downswing, so I’m feeling worse that I have in a very long time. I am crafting until my fingers bleed just to get my mind off of things. I finished a scarf, and started two more. Scarves are easy, I don’t have to think about them while I’m making them.

I had been working on this one since New Years. It’s the first thing I ever knit, and I just went and went until I ran out of yarn. It turned out pretty good.

Mom got me some fancy hard-to-work-with yarn. So I decided to knit a scarf. I have pulled this darn thing out twice to get the right size, but I think I’m finally happy with it.

I hope I have enough yarn to finish this one. The pattern is one of my own design, and I rather like it. I’ve got four 4 balls of this yarn, and I hope it’s enough to finish this thing!

Thanks to everyone who watches my posts and comments. It always makes me feel better to get an encouraging thought when I’m feeling horrible.

Have You Seen This Doily Pattern?

***Update***Found it!

Original post:

Because it’s awesome. 🙂

Peacock Doily

This is the first doily that I ever made – can you tell? Actually, there was an earlier version that was unceremoniously destroyed after I couldn’t even frog it to save the thread. Hey, if you’re going to make a mistake, make it a good one.

Peacock Doily

Although this doily made it to completion, I haven’t been able to find the original pattern source. I know that it was free, and available online, but that’s where the trail goes cold. It would be great to be able to link it up to its source on Ravelry. Is it one that you recognize? If so, drop me a line.

Peacock Doily

In the meantime, I’m still working on bigger and better thread projects…

I am so excited today is here!  All the hard work making tons of crochet projects for my display at Alpine Originals for the Art Walk this evening… And now I  get to show it all off!  I couldn’t resist last night making a couple new items though!!!  I thought I would make one more pair of Skimmer Slippers using the pattern I bought a couple of years ago over at… The pair I made a few days ago already had sold and I thought it would be nice to make one more pair for the Art Walk…

I couldn’t resist the temptation of something new… I had been talking to my Sister-In-Law Laura a couple of weeks ago about the pattern and we were saying how much we both love making these slippers,,, She then told me she had also purchased the children’s pattern and…

Ive been busy with my other craft, crochet. (The Handy Hooker) im not sure why I havent yet mixed my two crafts. I know many have.  I will in time but for now, Im busy crocheting a lovely table runner on commission for a woman in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

crochet, granny square, willow square, table runner, handmade, commission, cotton yarn,

its made up of 48 of these 10cmx10cm squares. each square takes me around 30-40 minutes to crochet. its a long process but well worth it.

so thats whats been keeping me away from jewellery making this week. plus, im working on a community art project with a friend of mine, Art Bomb Project.

this is happening during the Ennis Street Festival, which runs annually and is in its 8th year! its a celebration of the community and…
